STAINLESS STEEL ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK
Blue Mirror Metal Corridor
Guangzhou, China · 2024
A sculptural corridor shaped by geometry, reflection, and light. Faceted blue mirror metal follows the semi-circular form, creating a dynamic passage where architecture continuously changes with movement and illumination.
A Geometric Passage in Blue
Designed as a distinctive transitional space, this semi-circular corridor transforms a simple passageway into an immersive architectural experience. The curved form is constructed through a series of faceted metal elements, creating a continuous polygonal surface that follows the geometry of the space. Rather than relying on a conventional flat wall, the changing angles give the corridor a strong sense of rhythm and movement.
Reflecting Form & Light
The metal surface is finished in a deep blue mirror effect, allowing the surrounding environment and lighting to become part of the architecture. As visitors move through the curved corridor, reflections shift across the faceted surfaces, creating constantly changing visual layers. Integrated lighting further emphasizes the geometry, highlighting individual planes while reinforcing the overall curved form. The combination of blue reflections, sharp polygonal lines, and controlled illumination gives the space a futuristic and immersive character.
Crafted for the Space
Every section of the curved surface is individually coordinated to form a precise continuous composition. The polygonal structure balances geometric complexity with a clean architectural appearance, while the reflective finish enhances the depth and visual continuity of the corridor. Completed in Guangzhou in 2024, the installation demonstrates how custom metal fabrication can transform circulation space into a distinctive architectural feature—where material, geometry, and light work together as one.
